The Beauty of the Learning Planet Festival
The beauty of The Festival is that it can be whatever people wish to make of it. It’s a global gathering space where those wanting to grow the debate about a new social contract for education can come together to exchange views through dance, music, drama, art, film screening, lectures, workshops, small group discussions and whatever else gets dreamed up. It can even be a festival-within-the festival as is the case with the YouthxYouth Festival and this set of events. The events are self-hosted giving their providers full control over them. There is no time limits on events and they can be virtual or in-person. The Festival calendar is open from January 16 – 31 and each event provider has the freedom to choose a date and time for their event. They can even host more than one event should they wish. It’s an invitation to the people of the world to exercise conscious collaboration in addressing pressing world problems such as those identified by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
