John Hewitt – Yes
The appointing of a new director is a critical school board decision and should reflect the views of the newly elected candidates /incumbent trustees elected after the October 22,2018 election.
The new/incumbent school board of trustees would be best equipped to determine the most suitable candidate for the new director who conveys the trustee’s goals and objectives best. The new /incumbent school board trustees will work best with a new director they appoint rather than inherit during the next 4year term.
The assistant director would represent the views of the school board after the October 22,2018 elections until the newly elected director is in place in the new term.
