I am passionate about the quality of education our youth receive and will engage with the community in Zone 9 to ensure that views from parents, students, and other stakeholders are heard. I am committed to building strong communities through schools in Ottawa and ensuring that the culture we promote is one of inclusiveness, empowerment, and opportunity.
I have been a public servant for over a decade, and understand the need for wide ranging engagement in decision making. I have also been an active member in the Ottawa area with youth groups through organizations such as Grow Smart Girls and empowering students to find confidence through sport, namely rugby. From my experience in high level sport over the past 20 years, I understand the positive impact that having an outlet for physical activity can have on health and wellbeing.
